🎯 The Danger of Hype: Why Copying Fails
Be alert: Hype often goes wrong!
In my professional journeys, I have witnessed several projects fail for a common reason: sometimes people become too hasty to catch a trend or hype to achieve success. This often means launching a business by simply copying a model that has rapidly grown and generated significant market buzz. However, these imitators often don't succeed for a couple of key reasons:
-
1.
Lack of Insight: They only observed the surface-level visuals of that business model; they do not yet know the facts and deeper insights behind it.
-
2.
Timing: By the time a model has reached the peak of its hype, a new trend is already gaining momentum and preparing to spread.
It's actually quite easy to analyze the facts that lead to failure or why targeted achievements aren't met.
We should remember that every successful business model has its own unique foundational insights, known fully only to its creators. Therefore, running into the same market space as a copycat is often a mistake.
Instead, we should invent our own ideas and conduct a thorough fact-check with deep analysis before transforming them into a new business model and launching it. If our focus and analysis are pure, the venture is likely to succeed. Even if it doesn't always perform exactly as planned, it will inevitably create its own hype with a unique and distinct value proposition.
So, we should reflect on ourselves, discover our capabilities, and especially identify the unique gifts and strengths we possess. If we can figure this out, we can definitely build something meaningful.
